City of Hamilton Pesticide Bylaw
Please Note:
As of April 22nd 2009 the Ministry of the Environment's Cosmetic Pesticide Ban will come into effect. According to the MOE the ban, "...overrides municipal pesticide bylaws, protecting all Ontarians, not just those in some communities. It also establishes one clear set of rules, which makes it easier for Ontario businesses to follow."

History
In June 2005 the City of Hamilton began public consultation into the possible development a new pesticides by-law. The City’s Pesticides Sub-Committee participated in the debate on pesticide reduction by hosting a week-long round of public forums across the city, to discuss cosmetic pesticide use on private residential property.
